中華民國科技部為積極延攬海內外菁英於台灣貢獻所學，展現中華民國政府與學界對於人才的重視，提升攬才的效益，與中華民國教育部合作組織海外攬才團，於2018年4月1日至4月7日，分別在美國舊金山、洛杉磯、紐約、波士頓，舉辦四場海外攬才會，會中將針對科技部「年輕學者養成計畫」(包含愛因斯坦培植計畫與哥倫布計畫)，與教育部「玉山計畫」，進行介紹與說明。同時，本次海外攬才團尚包括台灣十一所大學校長或研發長，為與會學者提供一個與台灣頂尖大學面對面交流的機會。即日起開放報名，座位有限，歡迎各界優秀的年輕學者踴躍報名參加。

In order to attract outstanding overseas talent to work at Taiwan’s top universities, the Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Ministry of Education (MOE) will jointly host four overseas talent acquisition seminars between April 1, 2018 and April 7, 2018. The four sessions will be held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston, during which a delegation will share more details about the MOST’s Young Scholar Fellowship Program (which includes the Einstein Program and the Columbus Program) and the MOE’s Yushan Project. Young scholars will have the opportunity to meet presidents and heads of R&D divisions from Taiwan’s top national universities. Registration for these seminars opens today. Seats are limited, so exceptional young scholars in all fields are encouraged to register ASAP.

計畫介紹(Overview of Programs)

• 科技部「愛因斯坦培植計畫」(MOST's Einstein Program) 

以跳躍思考、勇於創新、大膽逐夢為主軸，鼓勵多方面與自由嘗試各種發想，發掘有潛力的新興議題進行探索。申請人年齡須在32歲以下，具有博士學位，每年提供至多50位補助名額，最多每人每年新臺幣500萬元的多年期計畫補助經費。

The mission of the Einstein Program is to encourage intellectual curiosity and creative thinking among bright young scholars so that they may explore new ideas in any fields they are interested in. Applicants must be under 32 years old and must have obtained a doctoral degree. The Program will subsidize up to 50 fellows per year, with a multi-year budget of up to NTD 5 million (approx. USD 170,000) per fellow per year.

•  科技部「哥倫布計畫」(MOST's Columbus Program) 

以探索未知、放眼國際、追求卓越為方針，鼓勵長期投入有潛力的重大創新構想，同時到國外的研究機構進行研究與交流，建立國際合作團隊，拓展國際視野及影響力。申請人年齡須在35歲以下，具有博士學位，每年提供至多30位補助名額，最多每人每年新臺幣1000萬元的多年期計畫補助經費。

The goal of the Columbus Program is for outstanding scholars to further develop their ideas and make a lasting impact in their fields. Applicants are encouraged to invest in long-term, innovative projects, while also exchanging ideas and research with foreign research institutes. Applicants must be under 35 years old and must have obtained a doctoral degree. The Program will subsidize up to 30 fellows per year, with a multi-year budget of up to NTD 10 million (approx. USD 340,000) per fellow per year.

•  教育部「玉山計畫」(MOE's Yushan Project) 

玉山計畫之「玉山青年學者」旨在吸引國際優秀青年學者至國內大學服務。只要符合取得最高學歷十年內，並具有優異產業界工作經驗或學術經歷，經由學校延攬後就可以由聘任學校提出申請。獲選玉山青年學者除由聘任學校提供本薪，教育部每年額外提供150萬元，ㄧ次核給5年。

Yushan Young Scholars are top international faculty who are newly employed and whose last completed education is within ten years. Candidates must be employed by a university in Taiwan, and the university must apply for the scholarship on their behalf. In addition to their base salary, Yushan Young Scholars will receive a supplemental salary of NTD 1.5 million (approx. USD 50,000) per year for five consecutive years.
